The God War

Seventeen year old Genesis wakes up in a hospital with no memory of who or what she is. She finds herself surrounded by individuals who claim to know her, but refuse to tell her any details about her life. These people are strange and seem to have a secret agenda where Genesis is concerned.She eventually learns this group of people call themselves Sentinels. Sentinels intervene on behalf of mankind. Some can manipulate time and others can wake the dead. Sentinels share a common bond. When they were alive, they were responsible for the death of another human being. Their existence is a form of penance to make up for the wrong that was done.They tell Genesis she must remember her life on her own. It is the rule. She must piece everything together on her own so she can choose whether she will help the Sentinels or help a much more sinister group that come from a place where human misdeeds take on form. Where they live and breathe. This place is known as The Idyll. The beings that reside there are known as Seekers. They yearn to cross the realm to the living where they can feel again. Now, they only experience two feelings: malice and a terrible yearning. The Sentinels are concerned Genesis might want to help them once she regains her memory.This confuses Genesis because she doesn't understand why she would help with anything bad. What Genesis doesn't know is that she wasn't very good while she was alive. She doesn't know that her human life took place decades ago or the fact that she's taken more than one life herself.Now the Sentinels have her back, and they are certain this time she will change for the better. However, a rebellious Sentinel has other plans for Genesis. He has issued a challenge to the heavens, and Genesis is the key piece in this battle. A wager has been forged between a Sentinel who is disillusioned with mankind, and God who still believes in the goodness of his creation. Genesis has become a pawn, and her choices have the power to set off a series of irreversible consequences for everyone involved. This wayward Sentinel senses that Genesis wants to be good this time around, but he has a plan that is sure to stop Genesis from mending her ways. He plans to reunite her with the one thing she hates most in the world -her sister. The sister she killed.
